Hajar Fine Jewelry (“Hajar”, “we”, “us”) is an atelier based at HEXA Lebanon SAL - ABC Verdun Mall, Beirut, Lebanon. We are the controller responsible for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of fulfilling your orders.

Details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing address, order and appointment history, and anything you include when you contact us or request a bespoke commission.

Payment information: card payments are processed by our payment provider, MontyPay. Your full card number is entered on their secure checkout and is never seen or stored on our servers — we receive only confirmation of payment and the limited billing details needed to complete your order.

Information collected automatically: when you browse the site we collect standard technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies.

Marketing preferences: if you subscribe to our newsletter we keep your email address and your consent status until you unsubscribe.

To fulfil your order — to take payment, arrange insured shipping, provide warranty and after-care, and keep you updated on its progress. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.

To run and protect our business — to answer enquiries, prevent fraud, screen orders against applicable sanctions and export-control requirements, maintain security, and keep proper records. This rests on our legitimate interest in operating a safe and lawful business, and in some cases on our legal obligations.

To send you occasional updates about new pieces and collections — only where you have asked to receive them, and only until you tell us to stop.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the store, and only as far as each needs to do its job: MontyPay (payment processing), DHL (shipping and customs), our email provider (order and, where consented, marketing messages), and our hosting and database providers. Each is bound to protect your data and to use it only on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it — for example to comply with a valid legal request, a tax or customs authority, or applicable sanctions and anti-money-laundering rules.

Your payment is processed by MontyPay on their secure, PCI-compliant checkout. Your full card number is entered directly with them; it is never seen, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

All credit and debit card details and personally identifiable information will not be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any third party for their own purposes. We do not pass your card details to anyone. We disclose personal information only to the service providers who help us fulfil your order, and only as far as each needs to do its job.

Because our providers and customers are in different countries, your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including outside Lebanon and the European Economic Area. Where it is, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

We use a small number of cookies to keep your shopping bag working, to remember your session, and to understand in aggregate how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may affect how the site works.

We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to provide warranty and after-care and to meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you and to provide a copy; to correct anything inaccurate; to delete it; to restrict or object to how we use it; or to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take the safety of your data seriously and review our practices regularly.

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date and make significant changes clear on this page.
